Ok, it's our "official" unofficial foray back into the wedding side of photography. We are taking it VERY slow and cautiously. With that in mind we knew that we needed some updated wedding work as we have been out of the wedding side for a few years and have grown both technically and skillfully. So we announced a Bride & Groom model call. With this model call we had the pleasure of working with Rick & Vanessa Matzelle, but this is where the story gets good. They had a huge worst-case-scenario happen with their photographers wedding images from their wedding. She lost every one of the images, and the only few wedding images they do have were still frames taken from the videographers material. Film just doesn't have the resolution to make a 20x30 image, so the best they have are a few 4x6's. Now while it isn't the actual wedding, at least they have something that can remind them of the big day & we get AMAZING "after session" shots to work with. Weddings.........here we go!
I've heard people say "I spent thousands on the meal at the reception, I can't afford an expensive photographer...." Well just think of this, food will be gone in a matter of hours, the cake, or a portion of will last till your one year anniversary as a tradition. Hire a professional photographer that knows what they are doing. You will get high quality images and professional results and people skills. Photographs last hundreds of years, food doesn't.
