Shelton | Family by Jason Rushing

We first met the Shelton's 10+ years ago. They had just gotten married and I (Candace) had just started taking pictures. They were some of the first people I ever got to shoot. We've all come along way! I seriously could write a book on how awesome this couple is. Now here we are, 10 years later; Jason is now the photographer and they are a family of 5 with the sweetest, cutest kids. Here is some from their shoot. I hope you have us take your pictures every time your near us. Much love!

Stear | Family by Jason Rushing

Well as you will see in this post, this little girl, Jasmine, I loved working with.  Once I showed her what I was doing and she saw I wasn't a weirdo she warmed right up and showed them chubby cheeks and teeth all shoot.  This time was dad, son and daughter that was the subjects.  We stayed out of the sun and despite the temps in the upper 80's with humidity the shoot turned out great.  These really turned out great,  check 'em out.

Seriously.... Hang It!!!

She posed herself and this was the first pose.  I knew it would be cake from here on.

Megan & Evan | Family by Jason Rushing

As many of you know if you follow my posts, I love repeat clients.  Megan and Evan go way back.  We first met Evan when he was 3 months old.  That was 6 years ago.  Yesterday we continued recording memories for mom.  Evan wasn't feeling 100% but he did good and gave a few smiles to work with.  We could've posted a lot more but this is just a preview....

Evan was trying but still not feeling well, so mom had to do what moms do, and comfort.  I had to do what photographers do best, and get a great candid shot.

Joseph | Family by Jason Rushing

This is one of the great sides of this line of work. Meeting couples that line you up for their engagement then wedding then 1 kid then another then family shoots.  This is that case,  we met Tony and Sarah approx 7 years ago when we went to Chicago for their engagement session.  Wow that was a long time ago.  The one thing I remember was I lost my keys out by an observatory by Shedd Aquarium.  Being it was a Sunday I was a little panicky,  but we retraced our steps and 15 minutes later Tony found the keys laying in the grass,  they must've slid off my camera bag during walking to the next location.  Anyway we have some history.  Fast forward 7+ years and now they have a son and a little girl and a minivan :) And this is why I love this job.  Year after year we are a part of families just by nature of what we do.  Yesterday we kicked out the Joseph family once again.  We try to produce something a little different each time.  One shoot was downtown with some industrial vibe for a location, another we went to nature park with some warm evening light.  This time was a warm summer day with natural and candid shots.  Here is a sample from the shoot.

I knew Candace would choose this one.  Even though it was first shot for this pose.

Huff | Family by Jason Rushing

Today we had plenty of sun and nice temps. The Huff family came to us for a quick mini shoot and quick it was. It always goes so much faster with adult "kids"...although Candace did offer to play peek-a-boo with them ;). Here is a few from their shoot.

Candace says "Look at Dad and laugh because he's hilarious!"...It worked! This is the photo that the kids will cherish forever.

Beaudry | Family by Jason Rushing

AHHH!!! 3 of 3 today lands us with the Beaudry family.  2 little boys that are ALL boy kept us entertained.  A photographer that laid in goose dookie,  easy going people, great weather, soft golden hour light, that's what happened in this shoot.  It was a great way to cap off this busy Saturday of shooting.  The Beaudry family I feel we will see again......can't wait guys, maybe this time I will stay away from the....you know.  Here are some samples.

Van Ness | Family by Jason Rushing

Shoot 2 of 3 on this Memorial Day weekend paired us up with the Van Ness family.  Everett was hard to keep still for more than 3 seconds at a time but it's to be expected when you're 1 and just learned that you can get places faster by walking than crawling.  He was also great and cooperated as well as the weather did.  Good job little Everett!  Good to meet you Van Ness family.  Here is a sample of their session.

Time to go!
