On this shoot we are back to the youngun's. We are gravitating toward the younger clientele, and it's funny because years ago I actually wanted to start transitioning into more child & baby work. Well wouldn't you know our path took us that direction. We had Violet and her older brother Jeremiah on the schedule. The catch 22 with such loyal clients is they use every location we have and sometimes have to double up on the locations used. These guys haven't used our little mini beach yet! Ok, its the closest thing we have to a beach here in central IL. There's sand and water, that counts. We just let them have fun on the second half and sometimes thats when the best shots happen. Here is a sample....
July!!! Hot, humid and sunny! All I'd rather have than frigid winter temps. I'd rather be sweating than freezing. Really we only had 1 of the 3 summer normalities on the Adams family shoot. That was the sun, the heat and humidity eased up and we had a otherwise comfortable July shoot. A mom, little girl and little boy was our subjects, and we had seen mom before in a previous wedding we had shot for what is now a very good friend. They were cake. Here is their preview.
Well here we are again. Watching another little one grow up from behind the camera. Little Maria is sister #3 and we had the joy of capturing her 6 month shots a few days ago. We did get some family shots as well. Kids are a blast! About half way in, Julia which is sister #2, was done! But you know what, you make it happen, you persevere and keep clicking. 13 years of shooting and you pick up some things. Here are some of Maria's 6 month shoot.
We have been friends with the Rosiak family for awhile now... John was diagnosed in March of cirrhosis and liver cancer. There is nothing, as far as treatment, to help him battle the cancer without extreme side effects. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread quite quickly and he was only given weeks to 6 months. Family moments are priceless, we wanted to be able to capture some for Jeff that would last a lifetime. We were able to record some of those last night at their home. Thank you Jeff and Brenda for allowing us to do that. We hope you will treasure these forever.
Much love and prayers to the Rosiak family.
We first met the Shelton's 10+ years ago. They had just gotten married and I (Candace) had just started taking pictures. They were some of the first people I ever got to shoot. We've all come along way! I seriously could write a book on how awesome this couple is. Now here we are, 10 years later; Jason is now the photographer and they are a family of 5 with the sweetest, cutest kids. Here is some from their shoot. I hope you have us take your pictures every time your near us. Much love!
'Till next time...
Well as you will see in this post, this little girl, Jasmine, I loved working with. Once I showed her what I was doing and she saw I wasn't a weirdo she warmed right up and showed them chubby cheeks and teeth all shoot. This time was dad, son and daughter that was the subjects. We stayed out of the sun and despite the temps in the upper 80's with humidity the shoot turned out great. These really turned out great, check 'em out.
As many of you know if you follow my posts, I love repeat clients. Megan and Evan go way back. We first met Evan when he was 3 months old. That was 6 years ago. Yesterday we continued recording memories for mom. Evan wasn't feeling 100% but he did good and gave a few smiles to work with. We could've posted a lot more but this is just a preview....
This is one of the great sides of this line of work. Meeting couples that line you up for their engagement then wedding then 1 kid then another then family shoots. This is that case, we met Tony and Sarah approx 7 years ago when we went to Chicago for their engagement session. Wow that was a long time ago. The one thing I remember was I lost my keys out by an observatory by Shedd Aquarium. Being it was a Sunday I was a little panicky, but we retraced our steps and 15 minutes later Tony found the keys laying in the grass, they must've slid off my camera bag during walking to the next location. Anyway we have some history. Fast forward 7+ years and now they have a son and a little girl and a minivan :) And this is why I love this job. Year after year we are a part of families just by nature of what we do. Yesterday we kicked out the Joseph family once again. We try to produce something a little different each time. One shoot was downtown with some industrial vibe for a location, another we went to nature park with some warm evening light. This time was a warm summer day with natural and candid shots. Here is a sample from the shoot.
